Howard Z. Rosen is a founding partner of Posner & Rosen LLP. Mr. Rosen is a trial lawyer who represents unions and employees in litigation, including wage and hour class actions, arbitrations, mediations and other forms of dispute resolution.

Mr. Rosen received his Juris Doctor in 1972 from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he was elected to the Thurston Society. In 1972, he served as a research attorney to Robert S. Thompson, Associate Justice of the California Court of Appeal. Mr. Rosen graduated from the University of California, where he completed the honors program in economics with distinction.

Mr. Rosen is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. He is the Publications Co-Chair of the American Bar Association, the Labor and Employment Law Section. Mr. Rosen is a former Union Co-Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section Committee on the Development of the Law Under the National Labor Relations Act. He is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Mr. Rosen serves as an arbitrator for the Los Angeles County Bar Association Dispute Resolution Program. He has published various articles on issues arising under the National Labor Relations Act and lectures before the American Bar Association, the American Arbitration Association, and Los Angeles Trade Technical College.

Mr. Rosen was an assistant professor of Economics at California State University Los Angeles. For several years, he was also a member of the Planning Committee of the Medal of Valor program for federal law enforcement officers.
